PROBLEM - Forced to reboot my Meteobridge Pro every 2 days

Post by oncletom17 »

hello
I've been having a problem with my meteobridge pro for a week now.
Every 2 days or so, I have to restart it to get it to accept data from my Vantage Pro2 station. If I don't do this, nothing registers.
Then, after the restart, everything works fine. The data is received and sent to the weather networks.
This problem is very annoying, because if I'm not at home or if I'm asleep, I lose a lot of data.
This time, I had the reflex to read the error message.
Here's a screenshot of the error displayed in the log file.
Thank you for your help

How long has the unit been running up until the last week when this issue started?

What firmware version are you running and have you updated the firmware recently as in a week ago?

i think the first time with this problem was on 21st February.
Before this, the unit was workimg for weeks or months without problem.
I'm on the 5.8. The update is done every time I reboot the Meteobridge

To confirm if it might be something with the latest update I would roll back FW 5.7 and see if the issue continues. You can then always update back to the latest manually. Automatic firmware updates on reboot can cause some issues as not all updates necessarily get it right first time, my recommendation is to set the version control to "stick to version x.x" or "use installed version" and manually update if and when required based on need.

The problem happened again this morning (after 12 hours running). So I reboot the Meteobridge in the version 5.7. Wait and see how many time it will be running

Looks like a problem wit the RF threshold to me. What is your threshold setting and how strong do signals come in?

RF reception rate looks ok (92,3%) to me. Can you please give me a remote access for further observation?

The problem happened again with version 5.7 :(
Do you think the problem could be my ups? It had been working normally for several months. Or because the internal disk is fast full?

just to give you some news
I've freed up some space by deleting the charts and export files I make every day.
The space taken up by the internal memory has been reduced from 95% to 65%.
I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but since that moment, a week ago, no more problems have arisen.
