Meteobridge VM

Post by admin »

Finally Meteobridge VM is there!

Now you can have Meteobridge running without dedicated HW. Simply install the Meteobridge VM image on your virtualization platform of choice. Meteobridge VM is x86_64 based and is tested on VirtualBox, VMware Player, KVM and PROXMOX. You find details and installation instructions here.

Just tried the Meteobridge VM in Proxmox to see if I could get data from my Davis Vantage Vue via an RTL-SDR Blog v3 USB stick but that doesn't seem to work. I tried passing through the device as instructed and also tried the whole port.

Any pointers?

Thanks!

Why should a "RTL-SDR Blog v3 USB stick" work? Meteobridge supports Meteostick for direct RF readout, nothing else.

Because I can't buy them in the USA (checked your sole US reseller and they're not there). Unless I can cannibalize the one out of my current Meteobridge Pro I guess I'm SOL.

Thanks anyway.

I am in the process to setup a new US reseller, which will make US support easier in the future.

For the time being you can by here directly: https://www.smartbedded.com/wiki/index.php/Meteostick
I send to US but it will take 2 weeks (no express option).

Hi there,

I have setup a VM in Proxmox following the instructions but when I add my Weatherflow station it never receives any data from it. I am not running any firewall and the Proxmox build is bascially out of the box standard.

Any suggestions where to look or what the issue might be ? An Rpi on the same network receives data from the Weatherflow station without any issues.

Thanks,

Dave
