Meteobridge communication problem with the UV sensor!

Meteobridge communication problem with the UV sensor!
A month ago I added a UV sensor to my Davis Pro2 transmitter(ISS).
I noticed that in the UV diagram there are periods of time from 3 to 20 minutes sometimes, in which the communication between the meteostick and the UV sensor has been interrupted!
The meteostick receives data from the UV sensor every 12-13sec. This update time is not suitable to receive data from UV sensor, because UV sends data every 50sec to 1min!
In the attempt to communicate with the UV (every 12-13sec) 20 minutes can pass without success, with the result that sometimes small and sometimes larger gaps are created in the UV diagram.
If the communication time changes from 12sec to 6sec, I think the problem will be solved, if I'm not mistaken.
PS
Meteostick receives data from console with relay(-14db)
The problem also exists with direct data collection!
Platform: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B
RAM: 3895 MB total, 3700 MB free (5% used)
Storage: ATP SLC, 1.5 GB total, 725 MB free (53% used, 254.2 yrs)
SW Version: Meteobridge 5.9 (May 1 2024, build 3292), FW 1.3

Re: Meteobridge communication problem with the UV sensor!
Meteotick reads RF data coming in, so it does not define how often the UV sensor sends data. Frequency of UV and SOL updates depend on light conditions, it is less often during the dark.
What is the defined RF threshold? Retransmit option does not do any benefits when not receiving console retransmit packets.

Re: Meteobridge communication problem with the UV sensor!
The RF threshold is -70db
Can the time that the meteostick receives the packets change from 12sec to 6sec, so that there are no gaps in the UV chart?

Re: Meteobridge communication problem with the UV sensor!
no, you are picking up too much RF noise. Please reduce RF threshold to -60db.
Re: Meteobridge communication problem with the UV sensor!
Please reduce RF threshold to -60db.
I set the RF threshold to -60db
The meteostick tries for 32 minutes to receive data from the UV sensor!
I think that it is not possible for the UV sensor not to send data for 32 minutes!

Re: Meteobridge communication problem with the UV sensor!
What is the actual configuration of the ISS sensors and relationship (distance etc) to the MB? Where you mention using a relay (-14db), a relay from where and how exactly?
Those signal strengths of sub -20db are really weird? How are these figures achieved?

The meteostick is 20cm away from the VUE console, that's why these numbers are achieved (-20db)!

Ok so to confirm and understand furtherzakos52 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 10:49 am What is the actual configuration of the ISS sensors and relationship (distance etc) to the MB? Where you mention using a relay (-14db), a relay from where and how exactly?

- You have a VP2 ISS sensor suite with an additional UV sensor? Wind/Rain/Temp&Humidity as standard (no Solar?)
- VP2 ISS transmits to a Vantage Vue console?
- The MB is receiving re-transmitted data from the Vantage Vue console on TX ID #2?
To complete the picture what is the TX ID# of the VP2 ISS?

Re: Meteobridge communication problem with the UV sensor!
On the Vantage Vue console when you press [2nd] then [ET] then press [WxCen] until UV Index displays, do you see a valid daytime UV Index value or does it display ---.- ? If there's no value here then might indicate an issue with the UV sensor and/or ?
Also do you have Vantage Vue console TX ID#3 set to "VP2 ISS"? Not Vue ISS or Wind
And Mb>Station>Weather Station (primary) Settings: receiver RF data via console (retransmit)

The UV sensor sends all data, without dashes, to the console!
Besides, there are no gaps in the diagrams created by weatherlink!
The UV Sensor DOESN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS! Also do you have Vantage Vue console TX ID#3 set to "VP2 ISS"? Not Vue ISS or Wind
VP2 ISS
And Mb>Station>Weather Station (primary) Settings: receiver RF data via console (retransmit)

Re: Meteobridge communication problem with the UV sensor!
Then I've run out of questions? Have tried to emulate this scenario, don't have a UV Sensor but instead using a Solar sensor and I just don't get any issues with a VP2 ISS to a Vue console re-transmitting to a MBPro(Red).
Also the Graphs created by WeatherLink, is this WeatherLinkPC? If so do you also have a logger in the Vue and why type?

Yes

I have a data logger USB connected to a low-power notebook.
Weatherlink is running on the notebook, from which the diagrams are generated in gif format.

Re: Meteobridge communication problem with the UV sensor!
Can you please try to move Meteobridge a bit away from the console and your other rf emitting IT?
Bringinng the Metestick by means of a USB cable away from the RF emissions of the unshielded RPI will also help.

"Can you please try to move Meteobridge a bit away from the console and your other rf emitting IT?

I removed the meteostick from the RPI4 and the console and additionally put two ferrites on the USB cable that connects the meteostick to the RPI.
Unfortunately, nothing has changed!
From 3/6/2024 to today (14/6/24) the UV charts show a lot of gaps like today. (note that the UV charts from weatherlink do not show gaps!) Question:
Can you solve this problem, in a way that you will choose, since you have rejected the solution I proposed above?
Thanks
