Hi
I have the Aurora Cloud dashboard running on my Meteobridge Pro Red
I also have an Aurora dashboard on my PC with about five years worth of data charts etc
I have created an Archive.tgz file on my PC of my Aurora data and uploaded it to my Aurora Cloud dashboard on my Pro Red using the Upload Archive under the Upload Data from PC on the settings screen
My question is how do I expand the data from the Archive.tgz file- does it happen automatically or is there something I have missed on the Meteobridge Pro side of things. Is there a script I need to set up to unzip the data ?
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks
Graham
Importing data into Aurora Cloud from Aurora setup on PC. **solved**

Re: Importing data into Aurora Cloud from Aurora setup on PC
a) Best way is to install latest Aurora version on your PC and to use the Download option there to generate a local archive file. So generated archive can be uploaded via the GUI to your Cloud install.
b) As an alternative you can direct your Aurora Cloud install to sniff data from your PC. To make this happen your Aurora PC install must be reachable from the Internet via a URL.
Both options are explained in the Forum thread about the Aurora Cloud install. viewtopic.php?t=18678

Re: Importing data into Aurora Cloud from Aurora setup on PC
Just to make sure we are talking about the same things. I assume you want to transfer your past Aurora data to the Aurora Cloud install.
2. all local Aurora installs on PRO2 and NANO SD are stripped-down versions that cannot show charts, so uploading to those is not making sense.
Sorry, there is no Aurora Dashboard on Meteobridge PRO RED. Meteobridge PRO2 and NANO SD have a down-stripped Aurora version locally running.
1. archive cannot be uploaded to PRO RED as there is no Aurora dashboard there.

OK, so you have an Aurora-Dashboard somewhere on a server in the Internet (or on your PC) which received data from the MB PRO. I just wanted to pint out, that there is no Aurora dashboard on a MB PRO to avoid confusion.
Please apply the suggested options in my first post fom May 21.

Hi
Maybe its me being a bit slow here but I'm still not sure if what I am doing is correct or possible
I have an Aurora setup running on a Raspberry Pi with data going back to 2019
I thought it would be possible to upload this data to the Meteobridge cloud so firstly I created an archive.tgz file of my data on the PI
Then I logged into the Meteobridge cloud via the dashboard admin and under the Upload Data from PC section I pointed it to the archive.tgz file created above.
However I dont get any of my data from the Archive file showing and I dont see how the Meteobridge cloud expands the archive file
I've obviously missed something or misunderstood the Upload from PC option
Regards
Graham

Not sure where I lost you. I think I was quite precise on what to do.
However... Did you build the Archive with the archive download function of the new Aurora Template published in May? You will need to install this first, otherwise you do not have this feature.
Or did you just do some zipping of some folders and expect the Meteobridge Aurora Cloud will guess whats in and how to deal with it?
Is your current Aurora install on the RPI reachable with a browser from the Internet? If so you can you please send the URL to "info(at)meteobridge.com"?
