Freeze Meteobridge Pro

Post by Didi »

Hello everyone. Since October 10, 2025, I've been experiencing freezing issues with my Meteobridge Pro.

For some reason, my device freezes, and I have to disconnect it from the power supply to resume transmission.

It seems I've been experiencing this problem since version 12.10. However, I haven't changed anything.

Yesterday, I replaced the power supply transformer to see if this could be the cause of this problem.

Have you also experienced these problems?

Thank you for your support.

Have a Pro running 6.3 (15629) Oct 16, 2025, have not noticed any issues?

How old is your Pro?

What's the signal strength/s generally like on the Monitor>Live Data tab?

System>Information>System Storage. What does that say?

Nothing has changed in your network recently? Are you connected via Lan or Wireless Lan?

The signal strength is between 35 and 36 dB.

RF reception

The meteobridge is connected to a local network via Ethernet.

Having a look at the "MB-PRO health" chart might help. Can you please post it here? Chosen time period should cover some stalls.

Is this the painting you're talking about? I took it over two weeks.

Process und CPU charts look very suspicious. Number of processes increases until unit crashes.

Does queue size (shown on "System Info" tab) increase over time? Queue can fill up if uploads are tightly scheduled and receiving server processes or Internet are slow. Making heavy use of retries can also make the queue explode.

This increase is indeed strange.

The last two outages were caused by myself because I updated the RF firmware and changed the Meteobridge IP address from DHCP to a fixed address to see if this would have any future impact.

However, I'm including the outage dates below. If the outages sometimes lasted longer than others, it's because I didn't notice them right away (due to absence, for example).

04.10.2025 11:25 04.10.2025 11:55 30 min
10.10.2025 2:55 p.m. 10.10.2025 6:20 p.m. 3 h 25 min
10/18/2025 01:00 10/18/2025 08:25 7:25 a.m.
10/18/2025 3:00 p.m. 10/18/2025 11:45 p.m. 8:45 a.m.
10/19/2025 04:00 10/19/2025 08:25 4 h 25 min
20.10.2025 22:30 20.10.2025 22:45 15 min
21.10.2025 06:55 21.10.2025 09:40 2 h 45 min
23.10.2025 07:55 23.10.2025 09:40 1 h 45 min

And below is the graph for the period.

FYI, I create quite a few graphs that are also present on my site, but I haven't changed anything recently and I haven't had this recurring problem before.

Looking at the Meteobridge maintenance graphs, I noticed that the processes associated with a particular CPU load have been steadily increasing since October 6, 2025, at 9:00 PM.

I also observed this same phenomenon on July 30, 2025.

Reverting to the previous firmware version (6.3 => 6.2) stabilized the processes. Could this be the explanation for the crash?
