MBPro (Oct 16 2025 Build 15629) uploading to WOW-BE shows constant Rainrate which is not correct.
There was a brief shower 0.4mm @ 03:37am 13/12/2025. Rain gauge is a metric 0.2mm Davis VP2 Spoon, rain resolution setting is 0.2mm
MBPro Min/Max Data tab Rain fall (Total amount) for Today (Sun 14) is 0.0mm Month Dec 0.4mm
Rain rate (hourly) Today all show 0.00, Month Dec (max) 1.4mm/h
It is currently Sunday Dec 14 @ 09:05 and WOW-BE Rainrate for every record since yesterday shows a rainrate of 0.51mm/h
Two issues I see here is the same ongoing continuous rainrate value (when it's not raining and has not rained today) and the value (0.51mm/h) itself. The connection I see to the 0.51mm/h would be an assumption of being 2 tips of an imperial 0.l" gauge => 0.2" * 0.254 => 0.508mm (0.51mm).
Also maybe a question for WOW-BE? They include a Rainrate but not a Raintotal in the primary icon list (Temp, Wind, Rainrate, Pressure, Rel Hum, Sol.Rad etc)? Yet under the Daily Observations tab there is a [Rainrate] panel with the values (which is for today only 14/12/25)
Maximum intensity 0.5mm/h
Total precipitation quantity 0.5mm
Precipitation duration 00s
WOW-BE Rainrate

## Update 17:30 14/12/25
@ 16:00 14/12/25 for some unexplained reason Rainrate drops to zero?

Re: WOW-BE Rainrate (Maybe For Boris?)
Further thoughts on this one. Can anybody see any logic in the Rain Rate continuation graph when there is no rain, No Rainrate?
For reference data is logging on both MBPro & Davis WLIP from the same ISS. For December total rainfall for both is 8.6mm (18/12), breakdown is
13/12 0.4mm
16/12 7.0mm
17/12 1.2mm (Noting there were four(4) separate and distinct short showers of 0.2mm each between 5 and 8pm on this day (17/12)
18/12 No Rain
8.13mm + 0.51mm => 8.64mm keeping in mind there is some rounding between recorded tips/imperial units with the Davis upload protocol.

Re: WOW-BE Rainrate (Maybe For Boris?)
Rain rate in mm/h is not the cumulated rainfall of last 60 minutes, but a measure for current rain fall intensity computed as a rain fall estimation for the future based on the current intensity of rain.
Looking that way on your data it might not appear that inconsistent anymore?

Re: WOW-BE Rainrate (Maybe For Boris?)
Updating to latest version (Dec 16 ?) has appeared to fix this issue and now WOW-BE is providing what would be a more representative graph.
WOW-BE have also been asked why RainRate is part of the Primary Icon list and not Precipitation Total (since midnight etc), things might change, eventually, maybe, but nothing happening right now.

Re: WOW-BE Rainrate (Maybe For Boris?)
In my personal taste "rain rate" is not that much telling, I have a preference to "total rain fall", which tells me much more. But I send the data to the networks they ask for. Always happy to adapt...Mattk wrote: Sat Dec 27, 2025 1:14 pm Updating to latest version (Dec 16 ?) has appeared to fix this issue and now WOW-BE is providing what would be a more representative graph.

Re: WOW-BE Rainrate
WOW-BE Rain rate has now been changed to Rain (Day Total) on both the Graph/Primary Icon & Sidebar. Both Rain rate (Maximum intensity) & Rain Total precipitation quantity remain unchanged on the [Daily observations] tab.
