I`m not able to successfully flash my new TP-Link TL-WR902AC v4 with meteobridge-tl-wr902v3-v1.3.bin.
Using the guide for v3.x, renaming file as explained, with a comment for it should work for v4 as well, as I understand.
Flashing seem to be OK every time I tried. But after flashing the router starting up, led flashes on power first for 3 sec, then power-led goes off, and then all led flashes 1 sec, and this repeat endlessly.
Tried flashing several times from windows with 64tftp software, and also with Transfer on mac. Same results. No errors, but ends up as explained above.
Read the workaround-tip in another thread, about first flash with OpenWRT and then flash the firmware from inside OpenWRT.
Successfully flashed with OpenWRT, logged in and should load the new meteobridge firmware, meteobridge-tl-wr902v3-v1.3.bin.
But when doing the file-checks before the actual flashing, I stopped.
See attachment to thread.
Is it safe to continoue this upgrade... ?
Any other tip to get this unit flashed with Meteobridge.. ?

Re: TP-Link TL-WR902AC version. 4 (EU), flashing firmware
This device needs to be flashed via a TFTP server as explained in the Meteobridge wiki.
The installed TP-Link firmware does not allow to flash 3rd party firmware via the web GUI.

Thx for the reply.
But if you read my post once more, first half of the post is about trying to flash it with tftp as explained in the Wiki(via an tftp server).
But doesnt seem to work.
It reboots after "succesfully flashing", reboots, the router starting up, led flashes on power first for 3 sec, then power-led goes off, and then all led flashes 1 sec, and this repeat endlessly.

"Doesnt seem to work" is a bit short on information.blizza wrote: Sat Dec 27, 2025 2:52 pm Thx for the reply.

How did you make sure your TFTP server setup is working?
Did you try with both server IPs?
There is no other way to bring Meteobridge onto this unit.
Re: TP-Link TL-WR902AC version. 4 (EU), flashing firmware
I only flashed with TFTP64-server set as 192.168.0.66 as server IP..
When I started TP-link for flashing, TP-link connected to server and uploaded firmware as "normal" after what I understand.
No errors on TFTP-server.
But after rebooting and finalizing the firmware upgrade it ends up with the flashing led`s as mentioned. Tested several times. But same flashing led`s every time.
Also tested with Transfer TFTP-server on MacOs. Same as well.

Re: TP-Link TL-WR902AC version. 4 (EU), flashing firmware
As the wiki explains please try with both IPs, 192.168.0.225 and 192.168.0.66.
Reason is that TP-Link changed server IP in uboot but you cannot see from the outside, which IP is used there.
Naming the file correctly is also important.
