PRO (red one) goes offline at same time every day

Unit has been doing it for months (potentially quite some time).

Error is the same each time. Power on and off fixes it or just wait an hour or so and it comes back of itself. Remote site so cant power it all the time.

logger (02.03.2026 06:17:28): restart meteostick (350 secs no valid rf signal)
logger (02.03.2026 06:22:30): restart meteostick (300 secs no valid rf signal)
logger (02.03.2026 08:28:16): message above repeats 25 times.

Does the same on wifi and lan connection.

Any idea where to start troubleshooting ?

What is the distance from the Pro to the ISS?

Are you receiving RF data directly or via Retransmit?

What is the Sensitivity: db? What is the typical Sensor Live Data signal strength?

Distance is about 2 meters. Its through a bit of roofing metal but never used to be a problem in the same location, though multiple other wifi and ip camera/basestation networks have been added since so perhaps interference has increased.

Avg signal is -75. Max -65 and min -95. Drops to 0 between 6am and 7am.

If the sensors dropping at a certain time is that perhaps just the davis running out of battery (i guess its only got so much solar) ? Seems a bit too consistent timing independently of sun or clouds though.

Not sure where the WS1000 model fits in? You have all Davis hardware? The MBPro is a RED, correct?

Mention of US 915MHz and Au 915MHz confuses me? More info on this one?

My MBPro(Red/s) I set the Model: [direct RF readout of Davis sensors] and receiver RF Data directly via a Davis Repeater.

Sorry of the confusion. Was just a text copy of the page as couldnt figure out image posting here. US ended up on the wrong line. Fixed now im my original post.

The ws1000 just shows its availabe with a green tick and then a radio button. Not sure if it was relevant but the radio isnt checked and amongst the big list its the only other sensor with a green tick so assumed this might be relevant, sensor is showing 'available' but not enabled.

Did you mention if this is a VUE or VP2 ISS?

According to the invoice its a Davis Vantage Vue Weather Network Weather Station - IC-DWNWS-6357AU
IC7716.

The settings ive got for the station are as per the paste before so its set as an ISS. While it is a vue there is no USB on the david weather station or meteobridge so assume thats not the correct option for my setup (as far as im aware ive never changed the station type either).

Ill try changing to -80dB though and see if it makes a difference.

Vantage Vue or VPS2 ISS won't make any difference, essentially the same thing at the basic level. Can you post a screen shot of your Station>Primary Stations tab?

Config appears OK but does appear an old FW version? What is the System info under System>Administration[System]

Might also have to look at RF of the ISS? Is this an AU badge unit that missed becoming AU? Have you tried using US 915MHz? If not give it a go and see what happens?

Tried updating to a newer version. Upon reboot got the an error about unable to download firmware.
Looks like its trying to use 192.168.1.1 for its IP but thats the ip address of the default gateway.

Does the reboot and download latests not just connect via the wifi it was last connected to ? If so why wouldnt it just use the IP its assigned via DHCP and not just default to 192.168.1.1 ? If it does always default to that address for updates on each reboot and software download can i set a different address as the default ?

Not sure why it would be wanting to use the Gateway IP as a DHCP IP? Are you connecting Wireless or Wired LAN?

DHCP assigned IP's do change but still should use the assigned IP? Not so much defaulting to an address just for updates, updates should simply use the DHCP or Static IP.

For sure you can set a fixed static IP of your own choosing, ensure you know the router GW IP, change the Station [IP Addresses] to (Set manually), use an IP typically outside of the DHCP reserve, Netmask typically 255.255.255.0, Gateway: IP and DNS: which can also simply be the GW IP for now.

Ensure all the IP setting are correct [Save and Apply and Reboot]
