Pro2, Davis and adding Ecowitt

Post by meexiles »

Hi there,

I have a Pro2 setup and sending Davis weather sensor data successfully to a number of weather sites. I recently added an Ecowitt hub and that is sending data to the Pro2 successfully. My question is, is there a tutorial/howto/specific instructions regarding how one might add additional sensor data to the weather site uploads? I see a lot of Meteobridge documentation but I am having difficulty putting it all together in a coherent process for enable the functionality I am looking for.

Thanks very much for your help!

Ecowitt Hub sending data to Pro2?

What do you mean by that?

The Ecowitt gateways can send data to the meteobridge (additional weather station tab). I suspect that is what is being referenced here.

What data do you want to send and where?

I am interested in sending the soil moisture and temperature, along with the lightning strike data assuming any site that accepts it.

I would propose to do it the other way round. Is there a specific network that is able to evaluate some kind of data that your station is providing but does not get uploaded? Having this specific situation, we might be able to help.

In general data mapped to "soil0hum", "soil0temp", "lgt0total", etc is used for sending to weather networks. You can do mapping of available physical sensors to these logical sensor names on "Station - Mapping" tab.
