Software Upgrade

I currently am running an NSLU2 with software version 3.3 which I upgraded after having to replace a faulty usb stick in February 2009. After running flawlessly since that time I figure I should upgrade to the latest software. Can I go directly to the latest version 4.6n ?

hi, you can directly go to 4.6m. 4.6n is experimental, so I wouldn't do that for now, because you will have to setup your weather station and sensor setting when coming from 3.3 anyway (you now have multiple stations support). When 4.6m works fine, you might decide to go to the latest release.

Hi again. I have just upgraded to the v4.6m. That process seems to have worked fine. Now I am having problems adding the weather station and sensors. Doesn't seem to want to do this and I keep getting a warning "Weather station does not have a sensor assigned on "Sensors" page"

Do I need to wait until after data has recomputed as part of the software upgrade?
Or is there a sequence I am out of step in? I have been following the first steps guide

I seem to be stuck on the weather station page. I have the Davis Vantage Pro2 with the modern usb connection (no serial adapters) However the connection type usbhid does not show as an option. According to the manual it should?

Thank you. I have been following this guide and everything seems to get hung up at the weather station page. I add a Davis Vantage Pro2. It shows available USB Serial and USB HID. However in the drop down menu for type of connection only USB serial is available. Should it not be USB HID?

When I select the serial option and complete the rest and click save it seems to hang with a transfering data message in the status bar.

Success! The hang on the weather station page was confusing me. I stopped the browser after about 10 minutes and refreshed the page and all saved data remained. This then made the sensor page function properly and then it was clear sailing from there.

I'm now back in business. I used version 4.6n
