Weatherstation Lufft WS600 **solved**
Hello,
i am going to connect a lufft weatherstation to meteohub. I take a look in the manual but there is no further information about how to connect or how to choose the parameters. For me its interesting to know what baudrate and what kind of protocol i have to select.
Best regards

Re: Weatherstation Lufft WS600
Lufft was connected via UMB and a serial connection.
Serial connection is 19.200 baud, 8 bit, no parity.

Re: Weatherstation Lufft WS600
Ok, thanks. What kind of UMB protocol is used? The UMB binary (binär) or UMB ASCII?
Re: Weatherstation Lufft WS600
when I remember correctly the ASCII one.

Re: Weatherstation Lufft WS600
So i have tried to connect the station but there occurres an error. I have added the screenshots in the attachments.
In Meteohub i have not found the settings of the baudrate.

Re: Weatherstation Lufft WS600
What does "Log Files" say? Section "meteohub log" should show reports form the data logger.
It is always a good idea to inspect log files, when something doesn't work...

Re: Weatherstation Lufft WS600
The following Information is available in the meteohub protocol:
2015.03.26 13:49:10 log file cleared by user
hwclock: Cannot access the Hardware Clock via any known method.
hwclock: Use the --debug option to see the details of our search for an access method.
logger (01.01.1970 01:00:22): System date not properly set. Please set date and time correctly before data logging can start.
wmr928fulleval(26.03.2015 13:50:59): recomputation of weather data started.
wmr928fulleval(26.03.2015 13:51:00): recomputation of weather data finished: 0 records processed in 0 seconds ( records per second)
logger (26.03.2015 13:51:18): data logger (version 5.0f, build 69) started.
logger (26.03.2015 13:51:19): connect station 0 (WS600 via USB serial).
But on the top of every page there is a warning that no sensor is connected “Warnung: Der Wetterstation ist noch kein Sensor auf der Seite "Sensoren" zugewiesen”.
So I tried to create a new virtual sensor (I don`t know if this is required) and now these information is available in the meteohub protocol:

Re: Weatherstation Lufft WS600
Now i have rebootet the system (rpi) and then disconnected the weatherstation while the meteohub system was running again and connected after about a few minutes (look at the logfiles below). On the the serial device at the weatherstation i can see a status LED which is blinking shortly when a command is coming in. There is only a blinking when the meteohub connects to the station (bold marked text below). There is no poll command by the meteohob between that time.

Re: Weatherstation Lufft WS600
To what ID is your UMB configured? These systems are not plug and play.
Did you connect it for testing and configuration with your PC? Does it work there?

Looking at the code I think that it is the binary format... sorry.admin wrote:when I remember correctly the ASCII one.

Re: Weatherstation Lufft WS600
Thank you the protocol was the only problem!
My Lufft weatherstation has a built-in pyranometer that measures the global radiation (Globalstrahlung) and has the channel number 900. Is it possible to read out this parameter by myself (via virtual sensor or something like that)?

Re: Weatherstation Lufft WS600
can you please send specs how to extract that data to "info(at)meteohub.de".
At the moment only these sensors are supported
{7, 100, 0}, // act temp celsius
{7, 110, 0}, // act dew celsius
{7, 200, 0}, // rel hum %
{7, 300, 0}, // act press hpa

{7, 460, 0}, // average wind speed m/s
{7, 400, 0}, // act wind speed m/s
{7, 500, 0}, // wind direction degrees
{7, 700, 0}, // data (precipitation flag: 0 none, 60 ran, 70 snow)
{7, 600, 0}, // rain total mm
{7, 800, 0}, // rain rate mm/h

Re: Weatherstation Lufft WS600
I added the solar radiation sensor. Which type of Meteohub hardware do you have?

Re: Weatherstation Lufft WS600
I use a rasperry pi b+. Do you still need the specs to continue?
Re: Weatherstation Lufft WS600
nope, just install update 5.0i again (I added some code for your station).
