3020 tp link, do not connect via WLAN **solved**

Post by fernando_haller »

Hello from Argentina, I'm using meteobridge LAN works perfect, but when I connect by WLAM does not.
"Setup Networks" was full and still connected only by LAN. Someone may say as set by OpenWRT.
Clarification: In expert mode only appears LAN, WLAN appears disconnected.

Sorry for the bad English, I'm using translate.google :| :| :| :|

Please stay away from expert mode. Setup of WLAN client credentials work with the standard meteobridge web interface.
What exactly is the problem?

WLAN is configured, but the restart and remove the LAN cable is not connected to the router

It might be easier to use the link: config.meteobridge.com
In this simulation you enter all your settings especially those of your wireless SSID, password etc. and the station settings can be done here also.
Then hit the tab download, and save the file onto a USB stick in the root directory f.i. F:, not in a subdirectory!
Power down meteobridge, insert the USB stick then power up your meteostick.
If everything goes well, meteobridge will start normal and is set to your own network etc.
Then remove the stick and connect your station.
It's easier to reserve a ip adress for your meteobridge within a network, so it allways has the same ip.
When configured properly you can enter the ip adress in your browser and log onto the meteobridge and check your settings.

Are you sure that your router uses WEP encryption? As WEP is very unsecure most WLANs make use of WPA.

Thanks, I can login. My finding is that Meteobridge does not see any WLAN SSIDs.
Are you sure that it is a 2.4GHZ WLAN (b/g/n) and not a 5GHz (a) which is not
supported by the MR3020 hardware.

As you see, the drop-down with SSIDs to connect to is empty.

Hidden SSIDs are not working with Meteobridge.
