Meteobridge forecast Davis **solved**

Post by assenzuid »

An question,

I'm using at the moment an MeteoHub where I have connected a Meteostick and Davis Envoy datalogger (both).
Meteostick is able to messure better temp. values (for extra temp sensors #soil), due the memory limit in the dataloger or console temp. values are not in steps of 0.5 but with meteostick in steps of 0.1.

I use the Davis Envoy logger to make use of the forecast message, see example below, for uploading to my website.

Code: Select all

fcstTxt|Partly cloudy with little temperature change.
website displays then (in Dutch)

Code: Select all

Ons weerstation Davis VP2 verwacht
Gedeeltelijk bewolkt met weinig verandering in de temperatuur

Is meteobridge Pro able to do that also or is it possible to use the internal meteostick and connect the dataloger with USB for that purpose to make use of the forecast messages?

Thanks

Forecast variables/texts are only available when a console or Envoy is attached to a weather-program.

As the forecast code/number is a console value, not an ISS value.

And as far as I know, it is not possible to combine an USB console with an external or internal "meteostick" with a MB(-Pro)

A Meteobridge supports the selection of 1 weather-station only.

A Meteohub extensively supports multiple connected weather-stations.

Enhancements for Meteobridge PRO
When you are using a Meteobridge PRO you have one additional checkbox at the top, where you can select, if you want to use the internal RF receiver for picking up data from a Davis ISS or if you want to use a USB connected external weather station. If you choose to use the internal receiver, you have to choose between the two Meteostick options at the bottom of the station select field. Apart from that, Meteobridge PRO offers exactly the same features as explained below for a non-PRO Meteobridge. Behind the scenes a Meteobridge PRO also collects system data like having a second station for system data connected, but this does not need your attention. It is just mentioned to understand where the additional data on "Live Data" tab does come from.
