Changing Default Units. **solved**

Post by Robbie936 »

My meteobridge graphs tab shows the wind speed in km/h which is my preferred units. On the Live Data tab is is shown as metres/s. I would like to change the units on the live tab to km/h and from the wiki i understand i need to use the "convertor" kmh but I'm a bit lost where and how to do this.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Rob

Responses from the WX weather forum say it can not be done. Looking at using Weather34....

you can change the unit.

the "chart type" field is a Template in the /data/templates folder.

create a new template (from either the ISO or IMP version and adjust the new template with the correct units you want to use, give it a meaningful name and then use that template to show your graph. if you look at the image below I added a UK allinone template as the units here in the UK are both metric and imperial for some units.

check out the help here: https://www.meteobridge.com/wiki/index.php/Templates

ConligWX - That would be excellent, I'm a bit lost with it all at the moment. I have a Mechanical Engineering background not IT type stuff.

no worries. see attached file.

if your using windows 7/8/10, the easiest option for editing these type of files is notepad++

https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/

once you download it, install it, and then you can add a plugin called "compare" this will compare two similar files for changes. it make life easier in understanding what has been changed to get the end result. in this case you compare say two similar templates. you see what then has been changed.
