So.. what's happened in the last 9 years?

Wow, my forum.meteohub account wasn't deleted!

9 years ago my remote cabin ISP went dark and so did my cabin LAN (incl. metohub & new SheevaPlug, just updated from NSLU2). Now that a new ISP has filled the void, I'm attempting to start up the LAN again. I was hoping I can just put some new ...

SheevaPlug LED states?

I just graduated from a NSLU2 to a new SheevaPlug from Globalscale. It came with no manual, CDROM, or documentation. Meteohub is up and running and the sensors should work once I replace the batteries. I see in the Meteohub 4.7 manual, the blue LED is used to signal the IP. Is there a document to ...

Re: Installation

Okay, fixed it. It wasn't the <space> that you were referring to, huh? This worked (corrected output file) and I successfully logged into meteohub. Now I just need to transfer the license.

Re: Installation

Really? It looks like the device is "SD 4GB" to me. Do you think the space in the device name is causing a problem? I'll remove it and see what happens.

Re: Installation

My 4GB SD card is not the tested version and I get this error when setting up the SD card. Any thoughts? It is a 4GB OCZ class 6 card. Ubuntu says it is msdos format and has 3.8 GB available. Do I need to format it to something else? I got the impression from the instructions that if the SD card ...

Installation

I haven't seen much posted on the SheevaPlug installation lately (this year). My NSLU2 just died for the first time after many years of great service. Rather than diagnose it to figure out why, I used this as an opportunity to upgrade to a SheevaPlug (which I just received). I'm surprised at the ...

FTP Upload filename=URL?

Hi, I have a IP camera (9100A) on my remote LAN with my NSLU2. The camera does not FTP a snapshot to my web hosting service on a schedule (just motion detect) so I want to use the Meteohub FTP Upload of Data feature to periodically send the jpg file.

I have the URL to the jpg file on the camera. I ...

Using Meteohub to report WAN IP to DDNS?

Hi,

I'm just curious if anyone has used the Meteohub to report the WAN IP to a DDNS service like DynDns.org? My current router doesn't have that feature and it would save me from buying a new router if I could do it with the Meteohub. I noticed it knows (reports) the WAN IP on the System Info page ...

Re:Anyone using a phone modem?

Thank you, I'll check those devices out. My plan for the off season is to just report once every couple hours. The phone service with a modem will be much cheaper still (even with measured service). I'm messing around with IP cameras now, but I think I need to wait a year for prices to drop on IP ...

Re:Meteohub Update 2.6

This is the meteohub log. It just repeats like this for a long time:

logger (13.07.2008 17:18:41): USB chip set: Vendor ID 0fde:ca01

Re:Meteohub Update 2.6

I installed the 4GB disk image using the copy from USB stick method. I saved my previous settings and then restored the settings to the new stick.

The new stick has an error in the syslog that it can't open the usb device (WMR-100). I've reset the weather station and rebooted the meteohub with no ...

using dd with Vista?

Has anyone had success using dd to install the disk images on the USB thumb drive from a Vista machine?

The first problem I experience is that Microsoft spells "removable" as "removeable" so the "--filter" option won't work. Then I get a "Error native opening file: 0" message.

Here is the ...

no web access when cloning

When I place a USB stick in port 1 to clone from port 2 and then power up, the web server is not accessible. I just get the generic \"Firefox can't establish a connection to the server\" message. IPScan and the beeps indicate a consistent IP address. I'm using software v2.4. If I shutdown, remove ...

Interrupted System Call? ** solved **

I'm still trying to get this working. I have a WMR-100 station and it doesn't seem to be interfacing correctly with meteohub. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. I'm on meteohub version 2.3, but I'm not sure where to look for the letter code (d vs. e).

I receive the following repeated ...
