Re: New monitor - justified or not?
I have Meteohub results displayed on two Surface Pros: one several month old and the other six years old, but my Meteohub results - graphs - are posted to my weather website. If you had your Meteohub results posted on an external website or some sort of internal website that you set up on your ...

Re: Plottable cloud base heights calculated by a virtual sensor
There is probably less error in the cloud's minimum base heights due to rounding than there is due to the relative humidity measurements. Note the variations/errors in relative humidity measurements may be due to the sensor's accuracy or due to air currents mixing in drier than is present locally ...

Of course transparent graphs work, have you not read my posts above this showing transparent graphs overlaid on photos? There is a listing of set commands necessary to produce the transparent GIF graphs. Sometimes I favor transparent ...

Re: Mathematical operations
One more try at your problem. You might take a look at this math formula on page 73 of the manual:
"{math- val1 val2 ... valn}" subtracts enclosed values from position two on from
number at position 1. For example, "{math- 2 5 -1}" returns "-2.00". Computation: (2 -
5) - (-1)
You would have to get ...

Re: Mathematical operations
If you have a website, you could output the two values as a txt file and then use a little PHP program to handle the subtraction. This would be somewhat similar to the way the Revised Chandler Burning Index: https://forum.meteohub.de/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=14614 is handled, except the calculations ...

Re: Mathematical operations
I could be wrong but I don't think there is any way to do what you want The Meteohub has only limited ability to manipulate actual square bracket weather data values. See the Meteohub manual v4.7 pages 71-73.
There may be other ways handle the calculation. What is the result to be used for?

Re: Collected Gnuplot commands for Meteohub
It is most unfortunate that the http://www.gnuplot.info website rearranged their links to make Vetinari's collected links broken. I accidentally obliterated some Meteohub graph definitions and started over trying to find a replacement for Vetinari's work. The best that I have found so far is http ...

Plottable cloud base heights calculated by a virtual sensor
While the minimum cloud base is calculated by the Meteohub and can be displayed as text by the [actual_th0_cloudheight_f] name-pair, this ouput is not readily plottable (AFAIK). If you wish to plot cloud base heights over a period of time, you will need to make a virtual sensor to produce that data ...

Revised Chandler Burning Index calculated by a virtual sensor
I previously had posted a way to compute the Chandler Burning Index with a virtual sensor. On another weather forum, it was suggested that the CBI should never be below 0 or above 100 even though the raw formula will calculate these extremes under certain weather conditions. Note that there is ...

Re: FTP to two(2) webservers?
You probably won't like this suggestion, but you could probably do it with two Meteohub servers. I'm guessing that you are computing different values and inserting them into the two txt files. If you used two servers, the second would link to the first to obtain its raw weather data.

Chandler Burning Index computed by a virtual sensor
I wanted to compute the Chandler Burning Index with a virtual sensor. It took more than a few trial-and-error attempts to get it to work and I thought others might be interested in a "how-to".
First of all, this computation is using Meteohub version 4.6t (I don't update often).

Re: WeatherLink Mobile
I also use the Meteohub with two WLIPs connected to two Envoys. The Meteohub generally handles the WLIP well; however, there can be drop outs that the MH doesn't always correctly handle.
Problems I've seen:
I think the MH can cause slight delays (5-15) in the updates to wl.com at times.

Re: THSW index
Do you think Davis would mind if I load it onto my webserver and grant access for download for people of our community?
I don't know. It probably would be ok as long as you referenced the more recent AN 28.pdf and also mentioned that some of the look up tables and formulas might be revised in ...

Re: THSW index
Oops, I'd overlooked it. The whole PDF is the VP1 version of AN 28 and only in a few instances such as THSW index calculations does it differ at all from the information contained in AN 28. For some reason, it is vastly more bloated in size than the AN 28. pdf.Hathor27 wrote: Have you got my private message?

Re: Bug in virtual sensors command line?
I've a command line of 158 characters that I can scroll to the end. This is on 4.6t. I doubt that Boris reduced that field for newer versions. Scrolling using FF 4.0.1. I don't update that frequently unless there is a good reason.
