Unfortunately I forgot to note the peak data of the last year (like highest/lowest temp or windrate, summary of rainfall and so on):( How can I determine this data? AFAIK I can determine only the data of the actual year (..._year1).
Any idea?

Hi!

It´s important to use the installation instructions written in the last(!) meteohub manual(V3.3). In my case the manual before used some bios settings which generated an installation error. I think, it was the same error you have.

ich habe exakt das gleiche Problem!

Meine Vantage loggt auch keine Daten mehr per USB auf den fit-PC. Nur nach dem Anhalten und Starten des Datenerfassungsprozesses läuft´s wieder. Ich verwende V3.3.

Bin zur Zeit auch ohne Lösung.

I don´t use a converter. I´m using the direct USB connection to the Vantage (meanwhile I changed the USB ports, the same problem!). There is no other device connected to the fit-PC.

Does that mean I probably have a hardware problem?

Yes, every 30 seconds the following two entries are logged (meteohub.log):
logger (14.01.2009 20:50:04): can't open device /dev/ttyUSB0: No such file or directory
logger (14.01.2009 20:50:34): started Vantage (5).

The problem is always reproducible: I only need to reboot my meteohub and no more data will be collected. I have to restart the process manually (stop/start).

Also noticeable is that I didn´t get an alert mail, although meteohub got no data over 4 hours.

I´m sorry, but I don´t know any parameters for using a USB stick as boot device.
But I had a lot of problems with the USB stick and the NSLU2. I was very happy with the fit-PC no longer use them. Why don´t you use a SSD? This is very secure and effective.

BTW, this was the main reason for me ...

I know that some USB converter are not suitable. But my model has a FTDI chipset.

Now I´m thinking about switching to the Vantage USB version, which can connect directly without RS232 converter.

If I only knew that this helps???:unsure:
