it would be much safer for existing data to operate meteohub on a rpi3 with a ssd card. recently i had a a faulty sd-card operating on a rpi with flightradar24. all data were gone.
so i tried to boot with ssd, howto´s are available, rpi is now running with a 128gb ssd on raspian ...

Thx for the hint Boris, but the retransmitting is only possible for the ISS, not for Soil/Leaf Wetness or Anemometer Transmitter Box, right?
I have Problems with very low reception quality, my stations are around 100m away. readings are -100db or lower. But i have a repeater here, can Meteostick ...

no i didn´t use a hub. i plugged in the normal usb2rs232 converter. in the meantime i´ve attached and tried it with a 3232 IC via GPIO (see the latest thread). there, the communication between RPI 2 and VP2 seems to start, but then i get a timeout.
there even are some ...

@boris, seems clear, but probably i´m not the only vp2 owner with this prob. anyway.
@ alaskaWX: your hint ttyAMA0 was the right one... seems rpi2 and vp2 are talking, but in the end there´s a timeout. do i have to change baudrates etc? keep in mind, i only tried the meteohub gui, no other things ...

i´v set up a Pi2 and want to migrate from Alix. Problem: My VP2 has RS232 Connection, tried to connect via USB-232 Converter but failed.
So i connected a TTL->RS232 Level Shifter to get a normal RS232.

i´ve set up a rpi2 with the meteohub system to migrate from miy alix system. unfortunatly my davis vantage 2 has a rs232 interface. so i pluged in a rs232-usb converter. meteohub recognizes this as /dev/ttyUSB0 but there´s even another /dev/ttyMH113
i configured the vp2 with both ...

i´ve an alix board, my latest version is 4.9w - but when i try to update via "wartung" and "software aktualisieren (auto)" i get the info "no updates available".
any hints for me?

Auch ich habe bei 2 von 3 Bodenfeuchtesensoren das Problem, dass bei 100cbar Schluß ist.

Mittlerweile stehe ich bei der Version 4.7j und das Problem besteht noch immer. Gab

es beim Fixing Verzögerungen?

i´m running meteoplug on a alix1d board.
via /dev/ttyS0 data from a vantage pro run into the meteoplug system.

i want to connect the blitzortung.org interface to /dev/ttys1 and
run the tracker_toa script on the meteoplug sys.

i´ve tried several times to bring it alive, but didn´t ...

servus,
es macht aber durchaus sinn das bestehende modul trotzdem zu testen. d.h. den ersten versuch via lan-kabel zu tätigen. da siehst du nämlich dann auch ob die variante wlan überhaupt angeboten wird.

soweit ich in sachen meteohub und linux firm bin, dürfte das system dir nur die wlan option ...
