Re: send log to remote syslog

Solved with this setup:

cronjob (5min interval) from another system:

#!/bin/bash
rsync -q root@mb:/var/log/meteobridge.log /tmp/$$.log >/dev/null 2>&1
if [ $? -eq 0 ]; then
sed -i 's/}n/}\n/' /tmp/$$.log
cat /tmp/$$.log > /var/log/meteobridge/meteobridge.log
fi
rm -f /tmp/$$.log >/dev/null 2>&1 ...

send log to remote syslog

Is there a option to send logs (meteobridge.log and logread) to a remote syslog?
It looks like that could be added to /etc/config/system (log_hostname, log_ip and log_port) but I guess this will be overwritten at restart/update.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Peter

Latest release does have this:

Re: Distinguish between multiple stations

Will there will be a solution for this issue in one of the next meteobridge releases?
And, is MQTT and InfluxDB in the roadmap?

Re: Distinguish between multiple stations

In my case that would help. But think about other users using livedataxml.cgi, they could get errors while parsing.

I would add an additional cgi without any magic renaming, e.g. livedataxml_raw.cgi or livedataxml_with_station.cgi. But take care, that no sensor will ever be renamed, even if you ...

Re: Meteobridge is authoritative DHCP server. **solved**

Gorgeous, thanks for all those quick answers! :D

I got rid of dnsmasq (stop/disable) and luci is no ok as well!

For future releases of meteobrige I would disabled dnsmasq, I’m sure that will confuse some users.

Hello!
I got some network issue with a fresh installation of meteobridge-rpi3-v1.3
meteobridge does answer dhcp requests on the network and after a couple of minutes some devices in my network become unusable (including my laptop). You can force that if you stop your home router beeing a dhcp server ...

Re: Meteohub Migration Promotion until Jan 31, 2021

Thanks for your answer. You are right, WD/Sandisk sound like a much better option. I thought, they are more or less in the same price range. Are the WD/Sandisk as reliable as the Swissbit are?

Re: Settings/Einstellungen korrupt

Hallo!

Gruss,
Peter

Re: error receiving message on Meteohub

Looks like I'm getting the same problem here:

error connect socket 127.0.0.1:5555 :Connection refused

The only solution is to stop the loggerd (/etc/init.d/loggerd). After that I have to ...
