I guess I have to get deeper into the topic again after all the years of just running the metohub I set up many years ago.

Hi guys,

I'm looking for recommendations for a new weather station.
My old TE831X has to be replaced as the wind sensor is broken... although it was a very cheap device it surprisingly did work for 7 years. :D

My requirements:
Price range: 400 €/$ max
Sensors: wind, rain, outdoor temp, min 4 ...

Does this mean that I can't connect one of these weather stations (Froggit, Sainlogic etc.) directly to meteohub but will need this extra device GW1000?

Sorry for the maybe stupid question... I need a new weather station as my wind sensor is broken.
I think an extra device might be a good solution ...

It never worked for me... I ended up buying a SheevaPlug back then. Now I would probably go for Raspberry Pi - the newer ones have built-in WiFi already.

MiniX WLAN tries to connect to an access point with SSID "meteohub", talking WPA2 using PSK password "meteohub".

But obviously "meteohub" is not a valid passphrase for WPA2.

I'm still messing around with the installation.
As meteohub seems to be a little bit tricky, I try to get any Linux running from the MicroSD card on my MK805 as a first step.

BTW: There is only the img file for ARM from Meteohub and I've found no way to extract that. Can I get the directories ...

Obviously it's necessary to make partitions on the SD card and copy not only the os image (meteohub, lubuntu or whatever linux you need), but also an extra bootloader onto the SD card, because by default the MK805 won't boot anything from SD card.

But I don't know how to do that, I've found no good ...
