VP2 isssue on "proxy" meteohub

I have Meteohub running on 2 ALIX-1D machines.

Most ofthe weather stations are attached to the first meteohub (I call it meteohub-b), with the second (which I call meteohub-c) accessing the weather stations via meteohub-b (e.g. 192.168.0.78:5502)

I upgraded both to 4.9u at around 1200 GMT on 2013-04-23.

meteohub-b was fine.

On meteohub-c all was fine except that the VP2 station reported no data on any sensors. meteohub log reported a problem with "buffer full" then disconnected. Here's a log extract edited down for just the relevant lines:

Code: Select all

logger (23.04.2013 13:24:32): connect station 5 (Vantage via TCP/IP Meteohub).
logger (23.04.2013 13:24:32): station 5 (Vantage), syncing.
logger (23.04.2013 13:24:32): station 5 (Vantage), rain collector size 0.2 mm per tick.
logger (23.04.2013 13:24:32): station 5 (Vantage), transmitter 1 active as station type (#0) "ISS".
logger (23.04.2013 13:24:32): station 5 (Vantage), version request sent.
logger (23.04.2013 13:27:53): station 5 (Vantage), buffer full.
logger (23.04.2013 13:27:53): disconnect station 5 (Vantage).
l
I have reverted meteohub-c to 4.9t and it is now functioning normally.

Boris: The access details you have are for meteohub-b. I can provide alternatives for meteohub-c if you wish.

David, thanks for digging into this. Looks like you are one of the few using meteohubs in a daisy chain. ;-)
Just released 4.9u hot-fix should have the problem solved.

since 4.9u there´s something wrong with the virtual sensor failovermaster-slave function.
it always showing 0.0°C as value and not the correct one of the master and slave sensors

How do i get the last release of 4.9u ? Only download and manual update or direct update in Meteohub ?

My VP2 does not show Pressure data since update to 4.9u.

Maintenance => Check for Updates
will "see" if there is a build on the server more recent than the one you have.

My Meteohub tells be build 1266. I can check for updates and the device finds an update to 4.9u, but the build stays on 1266. I downloded 4.9u from the website too and made a manual update - still build 1266 and no pressure from my VP2.

builds are differently for the hw version you use. Discussion above was on the x86 version (alix etc),
NSLU, A10 and Sheeva have distinct build numbers.

Ok - thanks for the clarification. Pressure is now back with the firmware from the website and the manual installation.

I would like to update my meteohub. There is enough space left on my usbstick. Everytime I try to update, my nslu is downloading the new file. After some minutes I always got the message: Download update 4.9u failed!. After deleting the new downloaded file and downloading this file again, I `m getting the same message again. At the moment I`m not able to update my system. At the moment I`m still using 4.9s

Have you considered collecting the update direct from the Meteohub website (http://wiki.meteohub.de/Updates), then using the "Software Update (File)" option to browse for and update from the downloaded file?

Since last 4.9u I have the following problems.

Davis VP2 with Envoy
during Night I get the error that humidity is out of range but when check the collected data and Sensors tab and the console all looking OK.

logger (11.06.2013 00:14:28): Bad th0(0) sensor data, "humidity" (110) out of range [0:100]
logger (11.06.2013 00:14:54): Bad th0(0) sensor data, "humidity" (110) out of range [0:100]

20130611001311 th0 118 80 0085
20130611001415 th0 118 80 0085
20130611001505 th0 117 80 0084

on my iConnect I run 4.9u build 1375 when check for update it is always load again 4.9u, when install it and check afterward I still have build 1375.
and again a check update show that there is a "newer" 4.9u and I can update but again this would build 1375 ...

Bye
