No FTP Uploads / Push Services working in vers 2.4 **solved*

Been using Meteobridge for some time now - about 5 months without any problems. My site is hosted at Godaddy.com

My Meteobridge rebooted and picked up the 2.4 software release last Saturday 1/3/15. Since that update my ftp push for my Saratoga template website times out. Also, when I try to reload the template for MBtags.php the reload fails. Additionally the FTP upload for wundercam is timing out. Seems like all the FTP transfers are not working anymore since the 2.4 update. Like I said - prior to the 2.4 update everything worked fine. Wondering if anyone else has had any problems?

My configuration:
TP-Link MR-3020 with Meteobridge 2.4
Davis Vantage Vue wireless
DHCP LAN connection (not using wifi)

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Could you please provide a screen dump of your "push services" tab?

In 2.4 the way how to specify push services has changed significantly.
I have some code in 2.4 that should migrate old settings automatically,
but may be that did not work 100% OK in your case.

At the moment 12:10 Tuesday, 6 January 2015 (GMT-5) the updates came in at the correct time .
Saratoga header info displays: Updated: 01/06/2015 12:07:13

But than uploading of MBtags stops at least until 12:23. So definitly not every 5 minutes.
But how comes that the upload was succesfull at 12:06 and then stopped?
The realtime data is coming frequently, so they probably are within the 10 seconds interval.

Checked a few times, no frequent 5 minute uploads just every 30 minutes or so a fresh MBtags is uploaded or shown/returned by the webserver.
Now it just uploaded:

Again realtime HTTP upload seems to be functioning normally every time, but FTP is not coming in every 5 minutes.

Is this a MB problem or a webserver / hosting company problem?

Not sure if it is problem with ISP. All I know is that things were working OK until the 2.4 update.

I could login and reasons for upload problems are:

1) WUCAM
It looks like wucam is getting rather slow for receiving data right now. Debugging the FTP upload shows that it takes over 10 seconds to have a cam picture placed at WUs ftp server in good moments. Upload speed itself does not seem to be a problem, but until it starts can take rather long. In bad moments it takes more than 20 seconds. Timeout is set to 20 seconds, I will increase that to 30 seconds with next update. But as this blocks other uploads on your Meteobridge, I wouldn't make the time out longer.

To avoid this WU performance bottleneck, you might consider to upload the picture to the Meteobridge server and to give WU just the URL where to grab the picture from.

2) FTP upload to your weather network tuscawilla:

Here sometime the first connection attempt is totally ignored from the FTP server (4:54:00 - 4:54:15). No idea why.

Consecutive uploads work very fast, but sometime the first attempt is stalled completely. Looks like a server problem to me. Timeout is 15 seconds, which looks reasonable to me.

I also tried to send the commands to "tuscawilla" from my Meteobridge and this always works fine.
Therefore, it looks like some routing problems within your providers network. Just guessing,
but it works flawlessly (apart from wucam) here on my 2.4 Meteobridge.

This is a very odd situation. And I think it is a GoDaddy (hosting provider) issue. Starting earlier today - everything started working fine. Uploads went up, down loads came down. Website updates to my Saratoga templates worked without any problems and consistently. I am VERY puzzled. Thanks SOOOO much for looking into this. I appreciate your help. I will be talking with GoDaddy but not sure if they will be of any help.
