WARNING: incompatible MR3020 V1.9 routers out there! **solved**

License for unlimited use is 65 Euros. Conversion between USD and Euro is done by paypal. I don't think you need me pointing to money conversion pages, your google will do fine on that
License includes 2 years of free updates. After that additional 2 years of update service is 19 Euros. But this service is optional, just in case you are keen to have the updates. You can decide any time in the future to go for it, when new features arise which are worth the money from your point of view. Details on licensing can be found here: http://meteobridge.com/wiki/index.php/License_Terms

Re: WARNING: incompatible MR3020 V1.9 routers out there! **solved**
Since I registered my new TL-WR902AC instead of this TL-MR3020(UN)1.9 it no longer is usable on MB. I attempted to flash it back to use as a repeater or a bridge but it will not flash to anything other than a "openwrt-15.05.1-ar71xx-generic-tl-mr3020-v1-squashfs-factory.bin" which is nothing more than Luci and mostly unusable as a router. Does anyone have a copy of the original as TP-LINK no longer lists the firmware for this device. I attemped to flash it to any version but just won't accept any firmware. I tried searching but could find no way to flash it back. Any help would be appreciated.

V1 firmware is available on TP-Link web pages: https://static.tp-link.com/res/down/sof ... 150921.zip

Tried that one. Won't install. Can't remember the exact message but said something like not a compatible file name or something. No matter, hard bricked trying a tftp method and need a ttl cable compatable with win 10 drivers. Anyway... thanks anyway.

I flashed the following mr3020 v1.9 with http://connect.meteobridge.com/files/me ... 0-v1.5.bin but now it doesn't work. What can I do now?

These routers are supported for sure. Must be something else that went wrong when flashing this.
Re: WARNING: incompatible MR3020 routers out there! RISK OF BRICK
I have one of these units that I purchased as a "WeatherBridge" and used for some time. I upgraded to a RPi and it was just sitting around. I used basically these same instructions with software PumpKIN. I turned it back into a Travel Router with OpenWRT on it. If anybody needs help I am sure the process that worked for me would also work to get a MB install fixed too.admin wrote: Sat Sep 09, 2017 1:23 am Instructions how to resurrect a bricked MR3020 impacted by the problem described in this thread.
1) setup a TFTP server in your LAN
2) give the TFTP server the LAN IP "192.168.0.66"
3) store the version 1.5 Meteobridge firmware (http://www.meteohub.de/files/meteobridg ... 0-v1.5.bin) in the TFTP folder of your server as "mr3020v1_tp_recovery.bin"
4) connect MR3020 per Ethernet cable with the LAN
5) press button on top and keep pressed while plugging in power cable into MR3020
6) wait 10 seconds, release button
After a while large LED should start slow blinking, then fast blinking and when Internet connection worked fine large LED switches to steady on.
I know that this is just for the tech-savvy, but I did not want to hide the recipe. Please understand that I will not coach you through setting that TFTP thing up. When instructions above are not self-explanatory to you, please just dump the bricked MR3020 and buy a new one. Coaching you through that is nothing I can do, please understand. Thanks!
