I was just searching for the stick you recommended. It turns out that they were discontinued in 2021. Do you have any other recommendations?

Rare that one has failed especially being only a few years old and wouldn't have been by wear & tear.

They come in 1, 4 & 8Gb, at least, and I have run all 3 sizes with no problems. I source them from Mouser or Digi-Key.

I installed the new drive yesterday (4GB). All of the parameters you had me look at became normal. The memory is again on the system/info tab, storage usage has dropped to 1%, & when I restarted the MBPro, the data storage format successfully completed. I inserted the old drive in my computer & it was dead. Now all I need is some rain to verify it is fully restored. I guess I will go pour some water in the rain gauge & see what happens.

Thank you for all of your help. It is very much appreciated.

ATP USB stick failures are very rare. However, sorry for the hassle and thanks for sharing your experience.

I have verified the rainfall issue is resolved by pouring a cup of water in the rain gauge. I am very surprised that this issue was caused by a hardware problem.

I have one final question & then I will let you be. On the Weather Networks tab under Weather Underground, there is a check box that reads alternative rain rate. Can you tell me what this is for & should I check the box?

Again, this issue is resolved & thank you for the help.

Normally, Meteoridge does a projection of current rain intensity into the future and this is reported as rain rate in mm/h. Some users heavily demanded to have a different view, that rain rate is the rainfall of last 60 minutes. If you want this logic applied, check the "alternative rain rate". I recommend not to select this.
