Solar radiation posted with no sensors?

Post by 2BZ2Ranch »

I don't have any solar sensors on my Davis Pro2 Wireless but the meteostick is transmitting/populating data? I don't have any virtual sensor designated either.
¿How can I remove this false data?

Which software is processing the Meteostick data in your setup, Meteohub, Meteobridge or something else? Where are you seeing the false solar readings: in that software's live data or in data uploaded to a weather service?

2BZ2Ranch, not sure I'd blame the Meteostick itself... to be fair, the Davis ISS sends a solar field in every packet whether there's a sensor or not, so it's just junk or a "no sensor" value that the software then tries to read. Mine did something similar years ago and I reckon it was the software end that needed sorting, not the stick. I'd have a look at the sensor settings in whatever you're running and untick or disable solar and UV there, rather than hunting for a way to stop the stick sending it. Could be wrong mate, but that's what worked for me, and I definately didnt need to touch the hardware.
