das mit den SLC chips kann ich nur unterstreichen, mein erstes SheevaPlug system und nun das ALIX system sind beide jeweils ~6 monate gelaufen und dann war die Speicherkarte platt.

Re: 3D Rain Graph
Hi,
you need to modify the color code, because in your exmaple (the default color code) zero is black. When you do
set palette defined (0 "white", 1 "blue", 20 "black")
you get something like the one below. A bit more playing with it should give you the expcted result.

Re: The Possibility to include date/time in graphs titles.
Hi,
the graphs are created using gnuplot and you can manipulate the graphs using the format line in the graphs definition, eg.
set timestamp "%d.%m.%y - %H:%M"
adds a date/timestamp to the graph.
You can find more examples here: http://forum.meteohub.de/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=6230
Cheers,
Axel

Hi,
Yes, I had a look at the rsync feature. Correct me if I missed something, but I understood, that for that backup I need to configure a PC to get the data I wanna backup up from meteohub.

Re: Automated Backup to USB Disk
Hi,
I still think an automated backup is a missing feature in meteohub.
I have a Fritz!box available, those devices bring NAS functionality. So it would be great if meteohub backs up it's data regularly to a drive that is attached to \\fritz.box\FRITZ.NAS . This could be done without the need of ...

Re: RFXCOM - use cases
I'm not sure where you get the impression that the expensive solar sensors are not accurate.
Ok, I think I thought more than I wrote, sorry:
Not accurate: The OS UV sensor
Expensive (but accurate): Davis solar sensor
Accurate: No.
Here my impression was that the results (in terms of the ...

After reading this

I think I'll first go for the homemade solar sensor as I have a spare sensor already that'd be good for this. Thanks for the hint!

Re: RFXCOM - use cases
You'd probably find a "temp in a jar" style solar sensor more useful
Just to get that straight:
What you're telling is, that the difference of the regular outdoor temp and a sensor put in a glass will be a very cheap and accurate alternative to expensive and not always accurate solar sensors ...

Re: RFXCOM - use cases
Hi,
thanks for the replies so far! So, to recap:
-RFXCOM seems to be relieable
-Davis sensors are not supported
- wide range of OS sensors supported
- OS UV800 has mixed results
use cases I see so far:
Temp sensors
UV sensor
RFXmeter for power consumption monitoring (would be very interesting ...

Re: RFXCOM - use cases
Hi,
so you added additional Oregon Thermo sensors to RFXCOM. The Oregon UV sensor experience is bad news, because this would have been one of the first sensors to add for me :?
Does RFXCOM also support Davis sensors? The web page does not mention them. So There would be no way to use a davis uv ...

RFXCOM - use cases
Hi,
at the moment I've a WMR928 connected to a Alix box with MeteoHub installed, and it's working pretty well. What I don't like is the limitation of the sensors (e.g. no UV sensor on WMR928), therefore I'm looking for alternatives.

Hi Christian,
freut mich, dass Dein Plug wieder tut, klingt auch ermutigend für den meinigen. Ich hoffe ich komme am Wochende dazu mal den Lötkolben anzuheizen... und hoffentlich mit gleich erfreulichem Resultat.
