Thanks. These both seem to work.

How do I get the Meteohub version from a command line?
Is there a simple way to get the Meteohub version from a command line (ssh)?
I grep'ed /etc/* and /home/meteohub/* but could not find anything.

Re: How do I disable nmbd (wins) server on meteohub?
Thanks.
I'm running a wins server on a CENTOS/asterisk box & I want it to be local and domain master. Meteohub insists on winning.
As to the exact problem with Meteohub messing up my network, I think it is because I run two meteohub servers on the same network. Meteohub uses 192.168.1.77 as the ...

How do I disable nmbd (wins) server on meteohub?
Meteohub starts a nmbd server which insists on being the local master (netbios). This messes up my network browsing.
I can kill the process, but, of course, I have to remember to do this each time meteohub gets rebooted.

cannot open log file /data/log/meteohub.log: File too large
I'm getting the message "cannot open log file /data/log/meteohub.log: File too large" in the system log.
I can't back up my data files - of course.

Meteohub on Chumby?
Have you looked at porting to the Chumby? (chumby.com). The Sony Dash is compatible. Should be plenty of horsepower, they have a nice touch-sensitive screen, and are cheap.
If you're interested, I'll donate one.

I also have a SheevaPlug (currently running 4.6). Should I see if it has the same problem?

Re:Update 4.6e (bug-fix release)
Yes, I'm using a NLSU2.
No errors in "meteohub log". Don't think there's a problem with USB stick. Works & worked fine with 4.6c & 4.6d.
I'm happy to upload logs or whatever.

Re:Update 4.6e (bug-fix release)
4.6c & 4.6d work more-or-less fine (every second rapid-fire update is dropped). 4.6e doesn't seem to work at all for me (every update seems to be dropped).
Also, the local time doesn't seem to be using DST. (I'm in America/Pacific timezone.) This is a problem with 4.6c, d & e.

La Crosse WS-2800 support?
Costco has the La Crosse WS-2800 weather station at $80. Quality & range seems pretty good for the price (and a *lot* better than older La Crosse units which seem to be totally useless.)
Any chance of support from meteohub? It uses a USB HID interface, but the details are not obvious.

WAN IP says "no internet access". I get this whether I run DHCP or not. Both IP and Gateway are valid and working. What's going on?

Vantage Vue doesn't seem to work with Meteohub 4.5a
It very occasionally can get data, but stops quickly. Same USB-serial works with Vantage Pro2, so I'm pretty sure the problem is with Vantage Vue only.

Re:New sheevaplug won't boot (bad ext2 partition)
One last question. Is Meteohub supposed to use both the DHCP granted address and the 192.168.1.77 address at the same time? When I ran two Meteohubs, although they had different DHCP address they (apparently) were still both responding to .77

Re:New sheevaplug won't boot (bad ext2 partition)
Working much better now.
The sheevaplug console gives lots of messages of the form
sh: led: command not found
I'm assuming this is not just me.
